Bright futures for accounting trio

Apprentice Scheme

Wigan based Chartered Accountants, Fairhurst, have offered three young people a start to their accountancy careers by taking advantage of the government backed Apprenticeship Scheme.

Jess Birchall from Hindley and Ryan Moore from Winstanley, both aged 18, have signed three year training contracts and have commenced their professional studies with Kaplan in Manchester. Matt Walker from Standish has also joined the firm and is studying AAT at Runshaw College.

“Fairhurst’s commitment to the apprenticeship scheme reinforces our determination to live up to our brand promise, ‘Accounting for your potential.’ As a firm we have always been committed to supporting local businesses but we also feel it is equally important to nurture the great amount of young talent within the industry and our region.” commented training partner John Fairhurst.

“We are delighted to offer talented young people the opportunity to learn about accountancy, finance and tax aspects of business, whilst also studying for professional qualifications.” concluded John.
