In addition to the shirt sponsorship, now in its third year, Fairhurst have also become part of the ‘Shooting Stars by Official Appointment’ scheme run by the club.
The new business club has been established to secure and further develop the future of the Warriors’ youth development programme.
Responsible for nurturing eleven of the seventeen first team squad for the first home game of the 2013 season, against Warrington, the youth development programme is an incredible achievement and a testimony to the fantastic work done in recent years.
The club has launched the ‘Shooting Stars by Official Appointment’ scheme as it strives to nurture the next crop of youngsters to join the full squad. The aim is to eventually build the team to consist of mainly locally home grown talent, not only to be the back bone of the Wigan club for future years but also to build a stronger England team that can truly hold its own against the Southern hemisphere.
