Fairhurst staff held a Jeans for Genes Day on Friday 22nd September and raised a brilliant £184 which has been split between Niemann-Pick UK & Genetic Disorders UK.
Niemann-Pick UK supports families affected by the disease, which is a rare devastating neurodegenerative disease caused by the accumulation of lipids (fats) in the brain, liver and spleen, for which there is currently no cure. The charity promotes awareness, gives advice and facilitates research into potential therapies. Genetic Disorders UK is a register charity with a vision to improve the lives of individuals and families affected by genetic disorders.
